what_we_do
our_mission_statement

Our Mission is to contribute to closing the investment gap necessary to redirect financial flows towards sustainable processes, technologies and economic activities, and build opportunities for the creation of green-collar jobs in support of a prosperous and sustainable global economy.

Our Clients

ELS Europe’s clients are participating in the rapid transformation to deliver on the essential aims of sustainable development and to provide benefits for the economy, society and the environment. This is especially true for those operating in the sectors of energy, transport, construction and real estate, infrastructure development, manufacturing, food and agriculture, data technologies, tourism and retail.

A good sustainability strategy sets out clearly the conditions and steps for an effective and fair transition, considers stakeholder perspectives and ultimately is the source of trusted, consistent and reliable information. In doing so it:

  • embraces internationally agreed frameworks such as the Paris Agreement, United Nations 2030 Agenda and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs),
  • complies with reporting frameworks and tools such as the European Sustainability Reporting Standards and the EU Taxonomy, and
  • effectively uses voluntary reporting frameworks such as the Taskforce on Climate- related Disclosures (TCFD), the Taskforce on Nature-related Financial Disclosures (TNFD) and the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI).
clients-and-partners

Value is created by organisations from a wide range of interactions, activities, and relationships. All of these interactions are potentially affected by, and impact upon, a complexity of environmental and social aspects.

ELS Europe aims to fully understand our clients’ risks and opportunities and ensure they are addressed through the implementation of an effective sustainability strategy.

Our thorough management style and responsive delivery of solutions has earned us the trust and respect of our clients and partners.

ELS Europe is committed to:

  • CIÉ Group engaged ELS Europe to provide training on the EU Taxonomy to our executive team, finance teams and sustainability teams. The quality of the training delivered by ELS Europe on the EU Taxonomy training was particularly informative and insightful, given the role of Dawn Slevin as a member of the DG FISMA Technical Expert Group building Europe’s first Green Sustainable Finance Taxonomy. It was an incredibly positive experience for the CIÉ Group.

Overall, the EU Taxonomy training was an excellent investment of our resources, and participants came away from the training with a deep understanding of EU regulation on sustainable finance taxonomy and the implementation of these frameworks. We would highly recommend this training to anyone looking to deepen their knowledge of sustainability, EU regulation and develop the skills and tools necessary to comply with the EU Taxonomy.

CIÉ TRANSPORT GROUP, Corporate Sustainability and Finance Team
  • Dawn Slevin’s experience and in-depth understanding of the EU Taxonomy for sustainable activities, developed as a member of the expert group that designed it, means that ELS Europe provides unrivalled insight and quickly gets to the heart of this complex subject. ELS Europe demonstrates true expertise, is very thorough and a pleasure to work with.

Seán McKeon, Company Secretary and Head of Risk and Compliance, Dalata Hotel Group
  • I have had the pleasure of working with Dawn Slevin on the building sector aspects within the European Commission’s Technical Expert Group for Sustainable Finance and subsequently on a project on sectoral ESG drivers and challenges. Dawn’s commitment, her professionalism and deep understanding of the issues and the respective EU policy frameworks have been invaluable and a real asset.
